sarah_orangeam rapidly losing my window of appropriateness for weekend updates so I'd best type some shit now.
got my chilli all sorted and the kitchen started ok on friday. alex came round at 10:30 dragging a rather bedraggled and poorly looking mr brad with her. damn. there went girl film night. settled on minority report.
laid in bed like a lazy old mare till nearly midday on saturday - really had to yell at myself to get up. damn - one day I'll stay in bed till 3 or something like the old days! spent the next 3 and a bit hours scrubbing the kitchen and assigning tasks to people who randomly turned up. and by the time bug turned up to help at 5:30 almost everything was done.
started off slowly as usual - food people were supposed to turn up at 7:30 so we could present all of it at once. didn't happen. gits! Angie made some rather wonderful cold tortilla rolls - she even made the tortillas herself. blimey! people started turning up and much troughing and eating occured. the last food to arrive was lilith's tacos at 9:30 - I think people were just a tad full by then!
nearly chucked after over quaffing some of quentin's absinthe. that was scarey. got my drinking legs back eventually though and joined in the mayhem. Paul's cinema upstairs was a tad forbidding and dark. highlight of the evening was definitely spider scooting round the garden in circles tasering himself and falling over, getting up and doing it again.
broke the bathroom mirror with my big bottom :( thanks to all the people that helped me clear up the bits - broken glass and bathrooms are not the best of pals!
all in all an excellent party filled with super lovely people - thanks to everyone who turned up and double thanks to everyone that made something to bring along. I'll try and return the kitchenware to its owners!
got up the next day to find manchester alex and chris in the living room. me and lil blobbed on the sofa for a bit, ian and kris turned up (seperately - not everyone's a perv you know!) and pirates of the carribean made its weekly appearence. after everyone buggered off I lay on the sofa under the magic duvet and watched hedwig and the angry inch as I'd never seen it before. eventually managed to get changed and haul my lazy ass to the angel for timmy's birthday drink and noodlage session.
was way too tired to enjoy black sheep - sorry if anyone tried to speak to me and I drooled/slept on them. for the first time in a really really long time I was home and in bed before 11. shit!
went to see supersize me with paul, johnny, ian and bug last night. I am never eating MacChicken nuggets again. this actually isn't a problem as I've spent the last 10+ years refusing to eat at MacDonalds anyway. Hmm McVomit.
