sarah_orangeended up at work till 7:30 yesterday - just trying to catch up on all the stuff I failed to do whilst getting the mailing out yesterday afternoon. aren't I nice.

malcav and bug on my team - good quiz though - kudos to megatron for the effort - it was a descriptive horror film quiz (they weren't all horror films - some were films with scarey or gorey moments but hey) where mr quizmeister would describe a scene and a short quote and you had to guess the film. excellent idea.
by far the most horrific bit was the fact that megatron was wearing leggings and a sparkly codpiece though.
we got the remarkable score of 22 out of 25 but dispite winning the 5 in a row bit we were actually pipped by a team sitting at the bar that looked suspiciously like they were being fed the answers. JEALOUS?? ME?? pfft!
the look on lisa(who is french)'s face as Ian told the 'hans who does dishes can be as soft as gervaise with mild green hairy lipped squid' joke was priceless. needless to say they don't have that advert in france :)
we declined a visit to the fab cafe and tromped home via pizza milano where ian purchased the most excellent cheesy garlic bread - one to try I think. he was amusingly on 'slightly drunk auto pilot' and was almost running to get to the shop. see goths can be enthusiastic about something. got a phone call from a rather drunken brad who was at mine drinking vodka... THE NIGHT BEFORE HIS FIRST RETAKE! double pfft! he was pumped up on gwar videos and pre-exam madness by the time bug and I made it back. finally managed to persuade him to go home to bed at 1ish.
everyone needs to send him good computer architecture (argh I've been hit by a bus!) vibes at 2pm.
have arranged a quiet - not too drunken - film night at mine on friday. wendyhouse the next day plus bug has work in the morning and I want to actually experience the joy that is a saturday for once, you know, maybe even go shopping or something...
actually there's a guy doing a greek food thing at harvey nick's cafe at 12:30 anyone fancies going with me.
