I loved this, from the first moment of not being able to afford the first menu right through to "paying for the happy ending" (oo-er). What I need to work out it why I liked it. I got the joke, and I can't stand grinding in games (I shun almost all RPGs as a result, particularly those pesky MMOs), but I just pushed on through with it anyway.
From a game design nerd point of view, that's a bloody interesting game.
Game: "Hey! I'm crap! You've got to buy every piece of me with fake money, and you earn it by playing a totally brain-dead sub-game!" Player: "Cool, where do I start?"

How did they do that? It's like a magic trick.
