Though wouldn't it have been more effective not to tell anyone about the scheme until they'd successfully prosecuted a few cases? Surely even drunken yobs have the sense to bring their own carrier bags, nicked from Tesco or ASDA. Or are some of themn really that stupid they'll not realise?
omg how clever - using a different coloured bag and printing a postcode on the can - obviously the cognitive skills required to circumnavigate such a scheme do not exist.
if the the offy doesn't then they get marked at the next licensing hearing. They have been doing this in Newham as well, the bags are there to be used as the person buys the beer and it gets put in the bag....gives it to little kids the beer, so the bag are normally dump in there favoriate drinking spot. therefore the police have a record of where the cans came from the postcode is on the base of the can and and if there is a number of offys in the area the bag.
