Taleban mist likely, or at least their sympathisers. Not only did she have the support of the West, she was also female, which would make her doubly unwelcome to that lot.
The only real question now if whether her most obvious rival, Nawaz Sharif, will be next, and following that, will we see Pakistan turn into a fundamentalist Islamic state on the same lines Afghanistan followed before 2001 (and TBH, will probably return to eventually).
Shit! I hope that they catch the bastards behind this and not the drones they used to carry this out.
I found her such an inspiration to become the first female leader in a muslim country was such an amazing achievement and am hoping that the woman and her politics, hopes and dreams for her nation are remembered and it would be fitting memorial if some of this is put into action.
all of her family have died from politics - she must have known it was likely if she went back to pakistan but she did it anyway - that's bravery and making a stand. I sometimes wish it was more dangerous to be a politician in this country as it might discourage some of the more self-serving twats we have.
