I'm a little hoarse. well actually I have no voice at all! hopefully it'll have come back before my meeting in hungerford tomorrow. we're heading down this afternoon and I'm staying in a hotel in Malborough. yikes! fun!

party went remarkably well - managed to fit everything in on saturday day time and have enough time to relax before people turned up. there was some remarkable food on display. special mention has to go to lil's baby baked potatoes (individually foil wrapped and very tasty), claire's veggy sausage humans (for the vegetarian cannibals out there) and neal's whitebait and chips. I cooked a wood pigeon - I actually forgot it was in the oven and cooked it for 3 times as long as it needed and it became a mahogany pigeon that you could have used to bludgeon someone to death with. the fried quail eggs were both cute and tasty if a little awkward to actually crack open. ace party. final stragglers left at 11pm last night. it was really great to spend time with beckie again - it seems like ages since we had some quality silly time. didn't make it to black sheep for the first time ever! oops!

it's pretty small - I might recommend a pheasant or poulet (tiny chicken) for about £2.50 for that luxurious "I'm eating tiny things" feeling. they also do quail - best to buy those pre-boned as they're a bit of effort otherwise...
