I made a little e-flyer with artwork that Ged supplied.

does it seem ok? canst thou read it? does it have the correct amount of info? is it way too big (for the dial-up users amongst you... ;-p)?

etc
etc

EDIT: updated image - any improvement?

That's beautiful!

Only comment I'd add is to put something like "(Open during regular Black Sheep clubnight, Free Entry!") after the Sunday one (poss in much smaller writing). Just so anyone who's wondering doesn't assume that either Black Sheep isn't on that night or that they might have to pay to get to the GothSwap.

And perhaps also add "(During Pubculture, Free Entry!)" under the Saturday one too.

Yeah, I was going to suggest slipping in a plug for Black Sheep (and why not, eh?!)

"Free Entry" might be worth mentioning, as it's not implicit.

And maybe a link to further details (ie how it works)... no offence to the artwork creators (the picture is beautiful) but I rather assumed that the link was to more info about the Swap thing itself - as a plug for the artist the size of the name (and website) is a little excessive!

All this mention of 'slipping in' and 'free entry' makes me think that Black Sheep are taking a novel marketing approach by making butt plugs.

reading it back it sounds more like a warning... "suggest slipping in a plug for Black Sheep"

I increased the size as I decreased the picture size and didn't want them to become un-readable - point taken though!

how does the bring&buy bit work? Does stuff have to be entered by a certain time, and do we have to look after our own stuff or is someone in charge and what does it cost etc, please?

I have lots of stuff just not much time to get organised by then perhaps.

when I post it up properly I'll add bring and buy details and my email address - didn't want to crowd the image!

At the risk of sounding thick...

"all clothes need to be labelled with a reference unique to you (your name or something suitably not the same as anyone else's?) and a number, along with the size (if possible), a description and the price."

I take it you mean number as in clothing item number 1, 2, etc?

Bollocks to dial-up users. If they're too tight to pay for broadbean then it's not your problem! :)

Date: 2007-04-17 10:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenchi-okhi.livejournal.com
It's not always a case of being too tight to pay for it, it's still unavailable in some places, particularly around smaller exchanges.
