what you waiting for?
Sep. 3rd, 2007 12:04 pmThat was a busy weekend indeed!
think there were over 20 of us at the pub on friday night - even more when the battle of the banders turned up on their way to dust. Dust went well apparently and I think we're looking for a date later in the year for another one. Destruction was minimal. phew.
Despite my evil hangover (don't take 2 co-codomol at 4am after drinking kiddies - it makes you trip) I managed to make it round the park in one go on saturday afternoon with no stopping. woo! One of the club black belts gave me a dead leg in squad training and it's still achey now. bah.
orangesquidcat and
the_great_bj came round on saturday evening for a few drinks prior to imaginary friends. that was good fun - imaginary friends itself was a little off form - too much riot grrl music and not enough pop music. bah. plus, due to a cooler failure in the cellar all draught stuff apart from pop was off. drank too much vodka to compensate. then me, bridget, lisa, johnny and brad headed back to neal's for a little more drinking and terrible pop music. (not sure it there was actually any - my recollection is hazy)
didn't manage to roll out of bed till 3 on sunday - me and neal went to the palace for some food. tasty steak but their potatoes never seem cooked enough. home briefly then back out to the club (with 18 cans of strongbow - I couldn't deprive paul of cider). chatted with lots of folks and gave link the giant 'i love link' badge I'd found on the floor the night before. classy. afterwards me and george watched the rats cavorting over the road whilst waiting for our lift to turn up - there were at least 6 of them. cute buggers for vermin. always cuter when they're not dead near or in one of your laundry appliances I find.
I got bugger all sleep last night (apart from to have a brief horrid dream where I had to strangle a dog that looked like it was trying to kill me) due to shoulder blade/trapped nervy pain on one side and shoulder muscle pain on the other - I really must sort out my physio now the letter's come through
