why is it always the kind words that make you cry more than the harsh ones?
it's odd to say the least.

Because they've usually had more thought put into them, and are generally motivated out of finer feelings. Thats my little theory.

maybe because we can cry for joy as well as sadness?
I know that i get shock the same way too. Like discovery of a debt of 2K will get the same psychological panic as a free cheque for 2K.
Cosset yourself and try to come to terms with the fact that someone said kind words to you because you deserve them xxx

Very true....... I cried more at the nice things some people said to me than I did when I was diagnosed.

I think its because you know the kind words mean more?
