sitting here with a glass of red wine, posting on livejournal rather than packing? or finding my underwear bags* with *my* reputation?
never.
had a nice quiet friday night doing washing, pottering and playing on the pc. I even tidied my bedroom somewhat. not that you'd think that was the case to look at it now. *scowls at eddy*
Got up bright and early (9am is bright and early on a saturday I assure you) and had a nice walk to the postal depot in Sheepscar. Ah Sheepscar - sweetest of the ovine related placenames! continued into town and shopped till I dropped. still managed to get home for one and tidy the living room a bit. not that you'd think that was the case either to look at it now *scowls at eddy again, for good measure, although this one was a group effort* Corinne and Eddy finally arrived at about 5:15 - unfortunately he was in a terrible state and kept semi-passing out :( Suz turned up and we headed off to little Tokyo (we tried to leave eddy at home but he seemed determined to come too) when we eventually made it there (after having to catch the ginger numerous times - I nearly dropped him once o_0 ) and had very tasty dinner. buy the time we got home and got ready to come out again we'd missed Joel's shindig at the Wrens (Sorry Dude!) so headed straight to the club. Tranmission was a little quiet but marvellous fun although I've lost my riding crop down there. everyone looked fabulous and it was a great night :) went home earlish due to sober ill eddy - leaving the other visitors in Cloney's capable hands. and he only went and lost one :P
Sunday was very lazy and involved a rather manic Eddy cooking tasty dinner for us. poor cor was coming down with something and I worried we might have to air ambulance her home. Beckie (and briefly Will) came round for food, wine and blather. after the visitors left B and I crashed rather spectacularly - I was in bed but just after 11 - I assure you this is pretty much unheard of!
today I have failed to get my travellers cheques (no passport on me! oops) and failed to start packing. I have managed to book tickets to birmingham and arrange to spend a day with my dad when I get back from japan though so some good too.
*Mr Hurst has spent the entirety of his time here hiding various items in the bathroom and my bedroom. notable ALL the toothbrushes (including al's) and my pants bag (a bag I keep my pants in rather than a somewhat crap bag). also my bedroom telly may have been placed upside down and my fake tortoise suspended out of the velux window on a shoe lace. I imagine there are further attocities I am yet to find...

Date: 2008-03-11 01:44 pm (UTC)Hiding things in the house? I do remember, many years ago, getting rather insane at a party mate's parent's house, and spending most of the night after everyone else had gone to sleep constructing bizarre spiral temples out of Lego, then massively re-arranging the bathroom, including a battle-fleet of bottles adrift in the bath, all the razors hung in a weird pattern on the back of the venetian blinds, and the shower cublicle sealed shut with reams and reams of dampened-and-then-allowed-to-set loo roll. Perhaps you had poltergeist-me in the house too? :-)
Transmission: That was rather fun wasn't it! Lovely outfit. I did see someone (lass, in black (yeah, like that helps!) short skirt/dress, IIRC) going round with a riding crop thingie a bit after you mentioned someone else had it, didn't see where she or it went though.
Note your comments re pouring. Sorry for not getting back to you about that earlier. Def want to do it, and Nurse Wendy-Household is keen to issue some treatment too. Chat when you get back?
Have a great time in Japan, and remember to bring back some cute Japanese Goths to decorate the club with. That should boost the numbers a tad! :-)
Have fun!
PS: Just remember, Agent Orange is a banned substance on flights...
