Dirtygrrrls - Dirtybois
Jun. 2nd, 2008 05:23 pmI am sooooo broken.
woolstock and the weekend in general was absolutely marvellous.
the company was good and the orange hotel (and it's bridget-annex) had plenty of usage.
*waves at eddy, fuzzy, suz, ben, jo, tony, hannah, frank, nick and bridget* *
*yeah no idea how she managed to stay at mine =P
it was also great to have audrey, dave, lee and daevid staying in hotels in close proximity to mine - meaning lots of silly drinking and socialising before going out each night. didn't see enough of Cor tho as she was at Neal's boo! will rectify that this weekend
Eddy got here at 10:30 on friday morning as I was dying my hair. oops - bad timing orange. I picked up my japan photos - they're actually quite good - I think I get paranoid and pay far more attention with my non-digital slr. we did lunch at fuji hiro and then did an epic booze and food run to morrisons. Never go to a supermarket with eddy. never. he puts all sorts of shite into your trolley when you're not looking and keeps hiding. twat.
Friday night was crazy - there was a real party atmosphere and the bands were great. Having Sami from Faderhead randomly on-stage with Modulate was such a coup! I reckon there'll be a few people who will be kicking themselves for missing it =P
Saturday was nicely full and had a lovely atmosphere - I only actually saw IS as we didn't get down til late due to over-doing it the night before and wanting to not burn out too soon. we got the tables and chairs out after the bands finished which I think helped to keep people in the venue. Gave IS a bunch of Jagermeister promo stuff (they wanted our giant jagerflag but there was no way we could get it down) which made them squee :D
the jousting was cancelled as all of the jousters are out of action at the moment. boo. we went to the palace for 1 anyway (with frank, fuzzy and suz taking an age to get there due to getting lost. lots) had a really nice roast there - much better than when neal and I last ate there - they've changed the menu and it seems to have paid off - audrey was really happy with her nut roast too. we eventually pottered up to the armouries at 4:15 for a quick 45 minute dash round looking at pointy death.
Made it down the club just in time for Spares. got waaaay drunker than the other 2 nights and waaay drunker than I'd intended. ZZ were perky as ever and it was great to see Manuskript down the club. I don't remember a lot of the night - this meant that when I noticed the bruise on eddy's nose this morning they managed to persuade me I'd punched him and I felt really bad! turns out he'd walked into the window of the takeaway - useless twat!
am broken today. stayed up way too late talking to daevid and bridget and had to get back up at 10 when the hotel contingent got kicked out. grabbed another hour or sos kip after they left and put eddy on his bike at 2:30 so he should be home soon.
awaits the terrible photos...
