wooo! weekend ahoy!
Oct. 12th, 2007 10:30 amI've been baffled all week due to staying at Neal's on Monday night not Wednesday as is usual - so I've spent half the week thinking it's nearly the weekend when it's not. But now it is. Vindicated at last. Got some good watching done - Heroes is shaping up good again and Dexter was pleasingly bleak.
I've had a completely hectic week and the only time I've been in the house for more than sleeping was Tuesday after taekwondo. Went to Hard Rock on Wednesday, drank more than I planned and danced in my socks and last night I went to a charity gig at the wardrobe - never been there before so it's always interesting to look around other people's clubs. No ear plugs behind the bar - tut tut! The crowd made me feel young. The most ironic bit of the night was a band of mid 40s men playing teenage kicks! I had to numb the pain with lager. I may have danced with my taekwondo instructor to sultans of swing. My shameful love of dire straits exposed like so much dirty laundry - I am undone.
This weekend is going to be fun fun fun! Tonight is Light Night a really massive event all round Leeds city centre. Some of us are heading to the Illuminati horse show at the armouries tiltyard at 8 - if you're interested in going they recommend you book tickets by phoning 0113 220 1985 - there's a handy downloadable schedule on the website that you can print out so you don't miss anything you need to see.
wsogmm and
petulant_seraph are involved with projecting pictures from the Leeds Flickr group over the side of Alders in Dortmund square - hopefully there'll be some of our zombies in there :D
Tomorrow I have an optician's appointment then home to get ready for the evening's festivities. I'm meeting a bunch of the Heartland folk at the Wrens at 7ish then it's the Transmission (TTB) gig at 8 and Transmission the clubnight (TTNEIFFOS) afterwards. I intend to be disgracefully drunk. Sunday will be spent groaning, cursing and flapping my arms around pathetically trying not to die. And then going to Black Sheep
( anyone not filled out this poll yet? )
