hmm just been checking the imdb for the fourth harry potter film (seeing as I'm just re-finishing the book) some interesting casting choices - I've been thinking about the casting as I've been reading and trying to work out who they might have. they have miranda richardson as rita skeeta, the dad out of 28 days later as mad-eye, trigger as barty crouch and francis de la tour (from rising damp) as madame maxine. there doesn't appear to be a ludo bagman - I know they've cut a lot out but that seems somewhat odd unless its a mistake on the page.

the guy who did donnie brasco is directing.

I like the books and films very muchly (although i wish they'd make a directors cut of the films that includes everything from the book :) are you planning on doing a cinima trip to see it ? :D or will you be watching it in the privacy of the Orange abode :)

There was talk of Chris Columbus directing again.

I think my favourite new bit of casting is Jarvis Cocker as the singer in the Wyrd Sisters [the band playing at the ball]

I saw the trailer this week too, and am rubbing my hands with glee, mostly because it looks spooky as fuck, which is what Harry Potter really should have been all round. Less of the school hall banquets and more weird-ass scary beasties please!
