Most of it's just common sense, like the one about the people on the building and what to grab at a gunshop. But what type of vehicle did you choose? Something fast but likely to be swamped with zombies at some point and torn to pieces, a pickup for lots of gun space and ok at running over small groups of zombies, a bus for the passenger space gun space and good at running over larger groups of zombies but slow and heavy, or whatever was the forth choice?

I was tempted by the dirt bike but you just cant plow through a horde with it and it doesnt carry much.

I saved the first lot of survivors an took them as extra gunhands but left the second lot. I'm not going to sacrifice a proven survivor for those who are not.

What would you choose as you personal antizombie weapon and why?

I'd go with either M16 (good ergonomics and accessories, if in the US then ammo is easy to find) or the AK47 (unbreakable reliability under all conditions). Since zombies are probably unaffected by massive tissue damage I'd aim low with short bursts of automatic fire to shatter the pelvis so they cant walk.

M16 for me, I prefer single shots or short bursts aimed at the head though, good for conserving ammo and at least you won't have zombies dragging themselves towards you with their arms, and with a scope it would have great range. I'd always keep a lot of handguns for close work though as they're easy to swing around and blast away in confined areas.

For distance something like a M16 but for close up a bloody sharp japanese sword and a decent capacity handgun.

Shotguns not great over a distance though. You'd have to wait till they were reasonably close.

I went for clip capacity, figuring out when zombies are about there are always loads to blow away. For my final run I used a pole to keep them at a distance. Only just made it out though.

A slug-loaded semiauto tactical shotgun was actually something I was considering. It would be excellent againt hordes, going through three or four zombies in a row. In the final analysis it just doesnt have the 'LETS ROCK!!!!' factor :)

On the subject of headshots, I've see too many comedy headless zombies to trust that approach :-/

zombies - extensive studies of the genre (cheers cats) indicate they still maintain combat efficiency even without a couple of limbs, in which case putting holes in them with a machine gun really isn't going to do much but slow them down, ergo (tank or rpg aside) shotgun is the daddy.

Au contraire. The shotgun is king when it comes to inflicting soft tissue damage at close range. However this is of doubtful effectiveness against zombies. This is why I choose to disable via skeletal damage rather than go for an outright kill. The object is to escape and evade. Stay mobile and stop the bastards from chasing after you. Any heroic last stand is going to fail under heaps of zombie corpses.....

pfft, i'd be the irrepsonsinble scientist in the under ground bunker that the survivors find and have a moral dilemma over whether they should kill me ... only to be saved the choice as one of their number turns and devours my brains. obviously.
