Auld Lang Sinewave

woo I have become organised about new year now. figuring I have the 2nd off so will be ok to club twice in 3 days I have become excited by the idea of going to Jedi Night at the club. seems like they're planning to run it along the lines of mexican new years eve a couple of years back and that was marvellously silly. same deal - cheaper in in sci-fi fancy dress (£5 with £6 without) and whenever the starwars theme is played there'll be a cheap shot run at the bar.
So come and join me if you can - it should be very silly and pretty cheap for a new year (crash space for out of towners provided - let me know - I think we have a fair amount of space :) )
I may go as jabba the hut. or something. I'm trying to persuade [livejournal.com profile] daevid to don some bagels and be Princess Leia.

duh duh duh durr de-duh durr de-duh!

Between you and me, I cant wait!!

There is a dilema tho, dance to star wars choons or barge into the bar!

Send sarah in the back and dance like a nutter....sorted !

I dont think she'd like being reduced to a waitress!

[identity profile] ulfilias.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it would depend on the outfit she'd get to wear !

Jedi new year sounds fun. Nik and I were reminisicing about the mexican new year the other day, saying we need to pimp ourselves out for new year again.

I think we'll try and come out for Jedi Night!
xx

Sounds fabulous!

You could go as the dancer from Jabba's palace! She was great!

Or if you have a FANTASTIC 70's shirt, you could attempt Aunt Beru (although you are nowhere near old enough), my friend Claire says that the one thing that dates that movie is the size of her collars!

Oooooh and you'll have to give everyone tupperware to drink out of!

I hope there'll be piccies!

was trying to persuade ms hennessey to don a pair of blue tights over her dreads to be the dancer last night

I'm looking for New Years ideas but would be dependent on travel and crash space. Star wars new year sounds fab though!

[identity profile] sarah-orange.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
crash space is definitely doable :)

[identity profile] pyropaws.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you Miss Orange :)

It is most tempting to come and party and start the year in the place I'm most likely to end up next year but having looked at the train prices it would cost me a small fortune :(

I shall just have to come and be a nuisance in the New Year :)

[identity profile] pyropaws.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, wait a minute, I'm being a complete imbecile.

I forgot to add my railcard and the prices dropped impressively...hmmm, tempting, very tempting...although I have no idea what I would dress up as!

[identity profile] sarah-orange.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
heheh
you have the world of sci-fi at your feet!

[identity profile] pyropaws.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Would you be adverse to putting a Pyro up for 2 nights? I don't take up much space and I'm house trained. You just have to make me start getting ready about 3 hours before everyone else ;)

[identity profile] sarah-orange.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
sounds fine to me :) which 2 nights? make it 3 and you could do flock on the friday as well

[identity profile] pyropaws.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
Poo, overnight the train tickets have shot up again and also travelling back on the Saturday means I'm going to be shoved on a bus sometime during the 4 changes. They should be scheduling a train just for me! Shall get back to you Miss Orange once I have had a nosey at travel options but thank you very much for the offer :)

[identity profile] twokan.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Could I take up that offer too? Would make for an easier time of things seeimg as I plan to be in chesterfield on saturday

And fuzzy has offered up his room to me!

[identity profile] sarah-orange.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
ooo careful I've heard stories about that one!
:P

[identity profile] ulfilias.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
Ooooo....so very tempted !

Having height as an advantage, I have a choice between coming as Darth Vader or Chewbacca.

Having girth as an advantage, I have a choice between coming as Jabba or some other fat b@stard.

[identity profile] sarah-orange.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I was tempted to come as jabba...
I've done it before :)
