Wow I was spectacularly ill yesterday - didn't think I'd make it home from work in one piece and started getting really upset at the train station. I don't know if the cystitis has gone systemic, the anti-biotics are beating me up or if I've developed a completely unrelated condition but I came up with an all-over body ache, faintness and heat. it turned into a full on fever later - at one point I had to keep my arms at 90 degrees to my body because my armpits were so hot they were burning themselves. wish I had a thermometer... cooled down significantly about 11 and had a fitfull night resulting in drippy sweats at 6am. was thinking I was back to being ok today when I just got up but have had to lie down three times whilst typing this - back to bed for me I guess. waa! bored.

text me to keep me entertained.

edit. ok ok! I have to phone the doctors after 1 today for my test results from last week - if they're no use I'll phone nhs direct after that. Al's on a half day so I have some shopping coming. and more bloody cranberry juice.

in other news I appear to have become a demon at taiko no tatsujin on the ds as it's the only thing I can actually do at the moment. crazy japanese drumming games for the win.

Go to the doctors, now. And if you can't, go to A&E. Sounds like it's turned into a kidney infection, which is what happened to me not so long ago.

I thought there'd be back pain with a kidney infection so assumed that wasn't it

I did have back pain, but it wasn't horrendous, and coupled with the all-over pain, it didn't feel that significant.

What you describe sounds very similar to what happened to me though. I had had cystitis for about a week, started a course of antibiotics for it, but that evening I got really ill and feverish. I went to A&E and they took me in and put me on IV antibiotics. They said once it gets into your kidneys, oral ABs won't touch it.

That sounds really bad..... I'd hug you but I suspect you'd slip out from the hug like a bar of soap. Plus I'd get all sweaty.

Lemme know by 2pm and i can take a list if req.
It sounds very bad, and you have just come back from a different continent and climate, perhaps doctor, like, now?

Um miss orange that sounds very serious, a fever like that ih response to a bacterial infection can be very, very serious. Please call and friend and go to a&e, it's not fun but better than scary things.

Eek! Sounds like the antibiotics aren't working to me. Like others have said, get your self to the doctors and get them to fix you properly this time! We want a happy orange not a broken one.

What everyone else said. I'm at home with the car if you need transporting anywhere.

Hope you get meds to make you better soon.

I always find cranberry juice actually makes cystitis worse!

NHS Direct be very good. I've used them so many times, last being when I had the norovirus & didn't know what was happening to me.
Good luck & hope it goes away soon!

I had something horribly similar 3 years ago - it was a cystitis/flu/fever coupled with bronchitis. Made me very ill - good luck!

I found lots of fluids seemed to do the trick.
