I'm not really one for new year's resolutions but I like to have the opportunity to try to reign myself in occasionally. so.
I could record my intentions to be less needy, annoying and clingy but hey who am I fooling..?
- less booze for a while. this is not *no* booze - just *less* booze - I'm going to try and limit it to one heavy night per weekend. I'm also going to shift from cider to vodka and diet coke at the club to reduce the calorific impact of boozing. I still can't stomach spirits prices elsewhere though so will stick with cider in the real world.
- I need to go back to my default state of not buying chocolate. it's not the same as not *eating* chocolate but given how rarely people randomly offer me chocolate it's not far off.
- I need to knuckle down with my taekwondo more - not having a specific goal in the foreseeable future (2nd dan grading won't be any sooner than september 2009 - if I still have knees by then) means it's kinda easy to slack off and rest on your laurels. I need to start feeling and acting a little more like a black belt.
- I need to be better with club admin stuff - stuff like stopping hoarding piles of letters in my bag when they should be living in the box files at the club, doing the NI and PAYE returns in good time (ie as soon as the week with the 5th in it is over not on the 18th each month!)
- I need to do more housework and house fixing - the place is falling apart! I did fix the toilet cistern leak at 1:30am last night - now I have to do the bathroom light, clear out the spare room, get someone in to mend the giant holes in the kitchen, touch up the holes in the paint work and tidy my bedroom properly by throwing out a ton of old stuff.
