Jan. 15th, 2009 12:25 pmpopped into the club last night to touch base with Kieran and Will - they've changed the bar around and it looks good - we now have a central island in the bar area with premium spirits and beers on display with the 2 tills behind that - leaving the entire back bar free for drinks preparations. it's apparently working in that we've sold more premium booze since it's been like that - mostly JD and red stripe - hopefully the back bar will help with the burlesque night cocktails too.
we had 340 people in throughout the night on tuesday at Moustache and were one in one out for a good while - I wish more nights were as good as this - I'd be worrying far less about things if they were - then again I value the variety of nights we have and if we just became another stack em high play em shite student club then what would the point be in that?
was reading some write ups of the club the other day (whilst looking to corroborate something one of the promoters claimed about being on the Times' 'best nights out' list)(The Slippery Belle although it was probably their Manchester night that got that accolade) it was kind of heart warming to read the stuff people have written about us and how much they feel a part of what we do - kinda helped me remember why we did this - was nice :)
in other news I need to get my arse to Dunelm Mills or similar to get some sort of bean cube/bag to replace the one's that Geof finally remembered to take home yesterday (he brought them over for extra seating on xmas day and they've become my 'console seat')
