this time next week I'll be in japan. I'd best order some bloody travellers cheques then. oops. I have to get up early in the morning to go to the postal depot to pick up mine and wsogmm's Japan rail passes. Gets me out of the house and into town in a timely fashion I suppose - I need to go through 'the list' to see what needs buying. it's wrong having a speadsheet for a holiday isn't it?

bought some headphones the other day, and like many head-related inanimate objects their main use appears to be to point out exactly how wonky I am. glasses are the same. they're symmetrical but my face clearly isn't. bah. the left one falls out of my left ear but stays in my right ear. ergo I have wonky ears. meh. also, over the years, I have felt regularly compelled to spend money with the express purpose of reinforcing the fact that I *really* hate in the ear headphones. why did I do it? I might have buy another pair of 'proper' headphones to take with me.

Transmission tomorrow - muchly looking forward to it - eddy_ and miss_corinne are driving up from Birmingham and bikerfaerie is over from sheffield.
