weekend was good. had people round on friday - turned into a bit of a monster do - that'll teach me to over invite :) was good fun though.
saturday involved a brief interlude of sitting in the park followed by cutlass purchase and club ligging. met a chap from the secret leeds website who took some photos of our underpass. he was an interesting bloke and spends a lot of his spare time investigating the bunkers, tunnels and other hidden places of leeds. then we met up with a chap who wants to put a new night on in september - it was too loud with the band soundchecking though so we managed to persuade him to come to our promoters meeting at the wrens. talk about in at the deepend - we've probably scared the pants off the poor bloke now. Meeting was good and productive. lots of exciting changes coming up and some good ideas were circulated.

northern_vixen and co for her birthday bash. we eventually ended up down the club for some boogieing. when it got quiet I sent all the paid staff home and became barorange and dj for the night. I'm led to believe I may have played mc hammer. I'm also led to believe that it was a dancefloor filler :D baby red turned up and there was much rejoicing. and vixen had a good time so my work here is done *beams off the planet to a galaxy far far away*
sunday involved me, red and neal doing pub lunch at beckett's bank (seriously you should checkout their portions!) and having a meander/shop in town and a refreshing sit down in the turks head yard enjoying a nice drink from whitelocks. back to neals to watch the best dr who of the series (up there with the empty child from the eccleston series) !!erk - moving things that don't move - erk!! and some crazy anime. then I shuffled clubwards for a most pleasant evening of sheepy entertainment (boy was there some crazy dancing going on - it appeared to be contagious too) I'm not sure if I've forgiven paul for starting with 'spice up your life' though :D
finally had the burlesque meeting last night - I think this one will be both exciting and, thanks to our lovely new staging thoughts, easy to see from all angles! now I have to hunt down bamboo screening to dress the club with.
today I'm wearing my fab new shirt - it has attracted many admirers - unfortunately it has a tendency of popping open if I pull the front down and I appear to do that without thinking. stop! safety pin time! *dances*
the only real downer is I can't find anything on the club pc that would prove to a 3rd party that the modem wasn't plugged in. the system log was corrupt and the other logs didn't really have anything useful. boo.
