Had a marvellous steak last night at river plate (an Argentinian resturant on the calls) with Neal - a medium rare 300g rib eye with chimichuri sauce. probably the nicest steak I've ever had and the picant sauce went perfectly. muchos recommendos! I wouldn't really bother with the starters - just get a nice big steak, some chips (I assume these are good although we had sweet potato and pumpkin mash) and a bottle of chilean merlot. winner. I like having a gastrochum. :D
not the cheapest steak in town (if we'd have not had starters and just had chips it'd have come to about £55 between us with the wine and tips) but probably the tastiest.
once the meat frenzy had abated much sofa ligging, coffee drinking and dr who watching occurred - all good stuff although too much coffee resulted in not quite enough restful sleep. bah. snoozy orange now.
