the further adventures of McTard
hello tardwatchers.
went back to the hospital on wednesday and they told me I don't get a weightbearing cast until at least the 28th december. that's the whole of berlin, xmas shopping, my birthday and xmas spent hopping. I really fucking hate hopping.
so today I have been a busy bee. I've cancelled my train tickets to manchester airport and booked return taxi's with Airline Connections - £54 for the two of us so not too expensive for the extra convienience (sort of realised geof would have to be carrying a lot of luggage by himself otherwise...) I've attempted to rent a wheelchair for a month to cover berlin and xmas shopping and anyother stuff where it might be useful to be able to scoot around with my hands free instead of hopping or using crutches and having no hands free. I've printed out my flight documents, found my passport, obtained some EUROs and phoned BA and mentioned wheelchairs. the only weak link is the wheelchair company - am hoping they sort it out ok at such short notice (it's all done with couriers anyway cos I couldn't find a local place that hired)
It was nice to get out and drink (albeit somewhat gently) on saturday - people have now vandalised my cast. I had to change brad's to 'BRAD AUNT' as it was just a tad too visible to be left alone. had a lazy day yesterday with geof and baby red watching the extended fellowship of the ring, gladiator and the thing - and munching tasty curry.
any way tardsters I'm off to do some more work.
