Yeah yeah I'm so bad. I haven't updated for a week. it's mostly cos I'm busy and I get this odd guilt which prevents me from wasting time writing my own lj entry but somehow still allows me to spend ages commenting on everyone else's

so what of the orange?
what has she been up to?

well last weekend was ace. there was a vaguely drunken and sweaty flock followed by a saturday sans squad training which meant I could wander around hyde park corner drooling over antique furniture. I really need a bigger house. it's just ~necessary~ ok?
went to the lucky dragon on saturday night and we had the banquet. yum-tastic. best chinese food I've had in years. and so much of it. then headed home for an early night.

sunday saw me up at 7:30 to get to nottingham for 10am for 2 hours training under Grand Master Loh. Never actually trained with him before - it was hard but worth it - apparently the saturday was far harder tho - glad I missed it ;) I got a lift down from jenny, tiny ninja vegan and psychiatric nurse - she'd had a terrible grading the day before not helped by an awful day at work on the friday and no sleep so when we were half way there and she noticed she'd left her wallet AND dobok in leeds we considered going home. glad we didn't as it was all ok in the end and she borrowed a male black belt's sweaty dobok from the day before. nice...
As it was she passed the grading with a stern lecture as I think they realised it was a bad day rather than an indication of her current tkd level. Another red belt to play with...

this week's been quiet but good. I had tuesday afternoon off for a physiothereapy appointment at LGI - apparently I have the most tilted hips she's ever seen which explains my years of lumbar pain. so now I have silly hip excercises to do in an attempt to gain enough muscle to stop tilting them. geof had a hire car so came to meet me at work on wednesday and we went for nice thai food later we won the quiz despite having our brains broken by the sight of megatron in spandex. and in other news I now have a toilet roll holder after 7 years in the house - ta paul!

tonight brings a trip to the theatre to see the play that baby red works on and then on to malcav and toby's party. not drinking much tho as it's back to squad training tomorrow. then bbq goodness with ms vixen and mr james on saturday night. all in the company of red, dawn and kath. yay.

I promise to try harder in the future...

Just out of interest I'm thinking of taking on a Martial arts, can you advise me what days and where abouts you do yours? I remember you saying before that they are always after newbies, so might as well.

we train 7-9 on tuesdays and 7-8.30 (plus an extra hour for seniors) on thursdays at the wrangthorn church hall just by the day and night at hyde park corner... do come - you might just enjoy it.

I know the place, will I need correct clothing, also how much is entrance?
You know me, I love physical acts that leave you hot and sweaty...I shall try to make it down this coming Tuesday....so you can all have a good laugh at my expense.

you need non restricive clothing so tracksuit bottoms and a tshirt if poss.

first 2 lessons are free then you get to pay £3 a lesson for a bit then you're expected to pay monthly.

I'll have a rummage through my clothes...see what i can find. Cool 2 free lessons, I'll be there.
