So it's the 4th January already. gosh. how did that happen? I have a spot on my nose rendering me so rudolph-like that I fear my nose may need removing in 2 days time to comply with 12th night operational procedure!

New year was marvellous - lots of lovely people and some very silly dancing. And the traditional New Year's Day hangover of doom passed me by this year. that voodoo doll of eddy I made clearly worked :D

I have done absolutely nothing of worth over the holidays apart from a couple of nights of boardgames at tim and jen's and mavis's. Time has mostly been spent cooking ridiculous stews, attempting to coax the cat out of hiding places, boiling more ham in coke and playing wow. playing a lot of wow. I'm now level 79 with my DK and hoping to hit 80 tonight. after tidying the house of course :)

I'm hoping taekwond starts again tomorrow!

I played lots of WoW too. Funny that. The one thing about WoW is that everyone seems to play in different realms and unless you start at the same time as your friends or play consistently you end up mis-matched. In about 3 play sessions I'm a level 12 human rogue in Scarlet Crusade on the US servers. Luckily my US friends play multiple characters and so they have low level ones which are similar to mine.

Is boiling ham in coke:

1 - a valid cooking method I'd never head of before
2 - a random experiment you've tried
3 - a euphemism for something rude

?

yeah we tend to do that too. I have a level 39 char as well as my 2 70s - I have more low level chars elsewhere too :) there's always someone bringing a new char up through the ranks - people play at different speeds - it's quite nice when a bunch of big mates turn up to help you out though :)

1. I first saw it on nigella's program a few years back.

an american chum does it with Dr Pepper. if you can be bothered to do it properly you're supposed to boil it for 2 hours then score the skin and bake it to get a glaze - it basically gives you a honey roast ham feel but really really tender as the coke tenderises the meat too

That may be the only time board games at mine is described as worth.

Hmmmmmm salmon.

I'm convinced you've actually got the invisible cat playing WoW...
