apologies to my chums

I don't think I'm feeling up to having a NYE party. I'm a bit fragile at the moment and worry that I'll just want to hide upstairs by myself. not sure what my actual plans are instead of it. I shall let the breeze carry me.

a bit concerned as I haven't heard anything about how my dad's op went yesterday yet. It completely didn't occur to me to get his GFs phone number before he went in and she hasn't phoned me to say how it went. the hospital aren't answering on their general switchboard either. bah. I'm sure he's fine as I'd have heard if he wasn't but it's a bit excruciating not knowing for sure.

in other news I'm on day 3 of the Warcrack trial. I can feel myself getting more lardy by the second.

my colleague graham and I have invented a new game to pass the time on days like this when there is nothing to do.

we type increaingly complex emails to each other with our eyes shut. we're too good at touch typing unfortunately but hey.
