it was a graveyard smash

today is busy and difficult (club stuff not actual work work). and on top of that I've just been told they want me to swap desks with the person who sits next to me. great. ostensibly this is so he can sit opposite the new unix person when they start but I suspect it's also to put me in a far more exposed position in the office to stop me being on the internet all day. great. now if I had work to do and was on the internet all day that'd be a bad thing but I have absolutely fuck all to do most of the time. I might have to start writing a novel in a text editor or something. did anyone ever work out if there's a texty front end I could view lj through? bah.

anyway. gotta keep my chin up - it's the club's hallowe'en party tonight - I'm waiting for a phone call from will who's going to homburgs costume hire today so that I can decide what to go as based on what they have in my size. I'm tempted with cleopatra just so I can keep shouting 'ARE YOU LOOKING AT MY ASP?!' etc etc at people. party should be great. am muchly looking forward to the pirate band! they're going to be a zombie pirate band for the occassion too :)

details: 9-late free in before 11pm £3 after (£1 if in costume) dead celebrities theme with prizes for best fancy dress - music will be standard alt/ind/goff/80s
